Supporting Acapulco’s Reconstruction Efforts

Stefanos Tsitsipas, the 25-year-old tennis sensation, has announced his commitment to donate $1,000 for each ace he serves during the upcoming Mexican Open tournament. This initiative aims to aid the reconstruction of Acapulco, which suffered extensive damage from Hurricane Otis in October last year.

Tsitsipas’ Generous Gesture

In a video shared on the tournament’s social media channels, the Greek world number 12 expressed his dedication to supporting Acapulco’s recovery efforts. The funds collected through his ace donations will be directed towards various aid programs aimed at rebuilding the affected areas.

Participation and Solidarity

The Mexican Open, scheduled from February 26th to March 2nd, will witness the participation of top players including Alexander Zverev, Holger Rune, Casper Ruud, and Frances Tiafoe. Tsitsipas’ philanthropic gesture exemplifies the spirit of solidarity and compassion within the tennis community.
