Bruno Fernandez, Manchester United midfielder, sent a message to the fans, after he spotted a video clip in a “lukewarm meeting” with his colleague in the Portuguese national team and the “Red Devils”, Cristiano Ronaldo.
The two stars met in the dressing room, where the Portuguese national team is preparing to participate in the 2022 World Cup. In the video, which was published by “CNN” on “Twitter”, the handshake between Fernandez and Ronaldo seemed “lukewarm”, as it appears as if Bruno ignored the “Don”. At first, before he reluctantly shakes his hand and walks away very quickly.
This “cold meeting” came in the wake of Ronaldo’s fiery and shocking interview with Piers Morgan, in which he criticized his coach Erik Ten Hag, who had excluded him a number of times during the current season, saying: “I do not respect him because he does not show me any respect. If you do not respect me I will not respect you.” Ronaldo also considered that the club’s management had “betrayed” him by trying to force him to leave last summer.
Commenting on the video, which was widely circulated, Fernandez said, in an interview with “TnT Universal Tv“, that there was “no personal problem between him and Ronaldo.”
And he continued, “You must watch the video that was attached to the sound, because the video that spread was without sound and does not show the truth. The original video shows that we were joking.”
Regarding Ronaldo’s fiery interview, Bruno explained: “I did not watch it, and therefore I cannot form an opinion about it.”
He added, “I am currently focusing on the World Cup, and I will return to interest again in the Red Devils after the end of Portugal’s participation.”
