Galatasaray’s Sacha Boey Transfers to Injured Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich Act to Strengthen Defense Amidst Injury Crisis
With a spate of injuries challenging their defensive lineup, Bayern Munich have acted decisively to bring in full-back Sacha Boey, aged 23, from Galatasaray under a contract extending to 2028, as confirmed by the Bundesliga heavyweights. The seasoned French youth international made the switch following two years with Galatasaray where he also netted a notable Champions League goal in a recent draw against Copenhagen.
Galatasaray disclosed that the transaction was concluded for a fee of 30 million euros. Bayern’s sports director, Christoph Freund, praised Boey’s speed, physical prowess, and his willingness to engage in one-on-one situations, anticipating a boost in the team’s defensive capabilities.
The Bavarian club, trailing behind Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, has faced mounting challenges with key defensive players Dayot Upamecano and Konrad Laimer sidelined due to injuries sustained in recent play, alongside other notable absences within their ranks.
