The Moroccan national team achieved a valuable victory over its Belgian counterpart, with two clean goals, during the match that brought them together, on Sunday, for the third round of the group stage in the 2022 World Cup finals.
The first goal of the match came in the 72nd minute from the feet of Abdel Hamid Sabry, before Zakaria Abu added during the second goal in the 92nd minute.
Morocco showed greater offensive audacity against the world’s second-ranked player, and played with defensive solidity and closed the doors to its opponent, taking advantage of enthusiastic encouragement at Al-Thumama Stadium in Doha, in the presence of about 44,000 spectators.
With this victory, the “Atlas Lions” lead Group F with four points, while the “Red Devils” balance is frozen at 3 points.
The Moroccan national team drew 0-0 with Croatia, while Belgium beat Canada 1-0.
Morocco will face Canada in the next round, while Belgium will face Croatia.
